Week 3

Last Week we were working on illustration and creating some illustrated designs, I created some designs using photoshop and I used the Sketch tools in the Filter Gallery, I felt that it didn't really look authentic enough and it would look better if I drew the image first, then edit it in photoshop.
For this image I used the cutout tool in the filter gallery and the poster edge effect and then made the main image grayscale.
In this image I used the Charcoal effect in the filter gallery an made the image purple then pasted it onto a background made of the Brighton Fringe logo.

I also created a Vector image of myself using a technique that was shown to us in class.
The Vector image I created then went on to be another postcard design.

In the lowtech lesson we created pictures that would go on to be edited in photoshop and be made into a postcard design, we used photographs as a guideline to creating an illustration using ink.
This was the final product of my lowtech lesson.

we also drew shells in our lowtech lesson using different mediums.

Week 2

In the second week of this project we were looking at Mark Weaver and creating some designs based on his work.
The designs that we had to create had to be based on the Brighton Fringe/Festival or just Brighton in general.
I created three designs based on the different styles in which Mark Weaver creates.
This is based on Weavers use of mute colours and the use of shapes and the image of a building.
This is based on Weavers Typography and images combination style.
Weaver also used wiered images of people in his designs, sometimes with aminal heads instead of their real ones.

In the lowtech lessons we started designing silhouette images of the Brighton Pavilion, and using the shape of the pavilion and adding typography inside the outline.

Artist that were looked at for this week were:
  • Mark Weaver.

Week 1

In the first week of this project we created some Typography postcard designs, this meant we created our own Fonts in wich we could edit them on photoshop. We also created fonts which had and image with in them.

The artists that we looked at for this week were:
  • Britta Siegmund
  • Pam & Jenny.
